OCTOBER 8th (Saturday): Pradosham: Mahanyasa Poorvaka Ekadasha Rudrabhishekam: VYC will be performing Mahanyasa Poorvaka Ekadasha Rudrabhishekam. The Sudarshana Chakra is the Mighty Disc (one of the weapons) of Lord Vishnu and has many auspicious attributes associated with it. Sri Sudarshana Chakra has two most important attributes of "Pida Nashanam" (which gives immediate relief from pain and suffering) & "Papa Nashanam" (the destruction of sins). The word Deepavali  originated from the world's most ancient language, Sanskrit (Written in Devanagari lipi as 'दीपावली') which means - a line or row of lamps. Deep is a small clay dish decorated with beautiful painting and is  filled with oil and lit by a cotton wick soaked in the oil.
